However even if you are not a college student, and you want a device that breezes through these calculations then the TI 89 is for you. However if you are a student in high school you could get it but make sure that you keep your old one – for when you have to go in for tests.
One of the great features that people like about the TI 89 Titanium is that it retains up to 80 past calculations. So if you forget how you arrived at a solution you can dial back and find how you got there.
It makes graphing functions much easier when you can see the problem, and all kinds of visuals such as 3D graphs. It also coverts any of the units.
The TI 89 will find derivative and anti-derivatives which the TI 84 Plus cannot do. The statistical summaries are much easier to read than with the other models.

However I would be remiss if I did not tell you about the downsides of this calculator. Some customers have lamented that the many features can be a problem. Parents of high school students complain that the Calculator does too much which means that the students don’t learn as much as they should do about the various concepts. It is no wonder that TI 89 and TI 92 are not allowed in some high schools and or in the ACTs. However there are cases when TI 89 is accepted but the TI92 is not. The TI-92 has a full QWERTY keyboard.
The TI 89 has an easy interface and is very intuitive. It will do a lot for you. It has multiple capabilities –you can even download some programs from the web such as the Periodic Table. So if you are a student of Calculus, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics etc then you need to check out this calculator.
